This section has nine parts. The first covers preparations for Apollo, such as President Kennedy's announcement of the program and the strategy for beating the Soviet Union to the Moon. The second covers the four Apollo flights that tested hardware and skills prior to the first landing. It's followed by seven sections on the expeditions that landed and the one that was aborted.
